Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure has secured a significant long-term commitment from the NHS, which has renewed its lease for a further 15 years within the centre. The agreement underlines Manor Walks’ role as a key mixed-use destination and community hub for Cramlington and the wider Northumberland region.
The NHS has operated from Manor Walks since January 2015, providing essential outpatient and specialist clinical services for patients across Cramlington, Blyth, and surrounding areas. This renewal reflects the strength of the partnership between Manor Walks and the Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and highlights the value of bringing vital healthcare services closer to where people live and work.
The health centre at Manor Walks is operated by experienced clinical staff from Newcastle Hospitals, ensuring patients receive the same high-quality care as at the Trust’s hospital sites. The facility offers a wide range of outpatient clinics, fully supported by relevant testing and screening services, including Audiology, Chemotherapy and ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat).
Lee Farrier, Head of Commercial & Workspace at Advance Northumberland said, “We are delighted that the NHS has chosen to make a long-term commitment to Manor Walks. The renewal reinforces the centre’s position at the heart of the community and reflects the strength of our relationship with key public sector partners. Having accessible, high-quality healthcare on site benefits both residents and the wider Northumberland area.”
Acting on behalf of Advance Northumberland, John Peart from Barker Proudlove added, “Securing a 15-year lease renewal with such a high-profile occupier is a strong endorsement of Manor Walks as a sustainable, mixed-use location. The NHS has been a valued tenant for a decade, and this agreement demonstrates confidence in both the scheme and the local economy. We continue to see strong demand from a range of occupiers who recognise the benefits of being located at Cramlington.”
The new agreement represents one of the most significant long-term lease renewals within the centre, reaffirming Manor Walks’ ongoing strategy to deliver a sustainable mix of retail, leisure, and essential community services.
