Manor Walks Open For Business
As Siberian snow sweeps across the country Manor Walks, Cramlington is defying the severe weather thanks to the hard work of its dedicated staff and is remaining open for business as usual.
The blizzards, drifting snow, strong winds and bitter cold has meant Manor Walks’ External Team have been working since 5am to clear snow from the car parks and gritting paths to ensure visitors’ safety.
Bruno Coppola, General Manager at Manor Walks, Cramlington, said: “Our External Team and all the staff at Manor Walks have been fantastic and I’d like to pay tribute to them. They have been working extremely hard to deal with the constant freezing temperatures and keep the centre’s car parks and pavements safe and clear.
“Thanks to their dedication Manor Walks has and will remain open for business. The fact that other centres chose to close early this week due to the snow highlights what a great job all of our staff have done when battling such terrible conditions. We will endeavour to remain open as usual over the weekend but we will continue to monitor the situation.”
Manor Walks staff have also been assisted by the shopping centre’s partners Jim Hastings Limited, WL Straughan & Son Ltd, Litter Boss and Azure aiding them to keep the centre up and running.
Lee Farrier, Head of Estates at Arch, said: “We would like to thank our partners for their continued support. They have played a vital part in supporting our External Team enabling them to clear away the snow and keep Manor Walks safe for all.
“Furthermore I would like to extend my thanks to Northumberland County Council, Arriva North East, Cramlington Town Council and all the emergency services for ensuring our community has stayed safe during this severe weather.”
